Candidates must be earning their first preliminary teaching credential. *Candidates enrolled in Accelerated Pathway and Induction not eligible. This includes applicants that have a preliminary teaching credential. |
Stipulations | Eligible grant candidates must be employed in a certificated or classified position with a school district, public, private or charter in Santa Clara County. | The Golden State Teacher Grant program (GSTG) is for students who are currently enrolled in a teacher preparation program to earn a credential in a high need field and commit to teach at a priority school, in California for four years, within five years after completing a teacher preparation program. |
Grant Program Details | Receive FULL TUITION SUPPORT for Preliminary and Accelerated Pathway Programs *In exchange for 4 years of service as a special education teacher in a K-12 education public, private or charter school in Santa Clara County.*Initial internship employment efforts must be with grant qualifying organization. Watch this video for more details. | This grant is facilitated by the Golden State Grant Program. Educator Preparation Programs is a California Commission on Teacher Credentialing approved Local Education Agency (LEA), per the California Student Aid Commission’s guidelines. This means that Educator Preparation Programs, as an approved LEA, can verify an applicant’s enrollment status to the California Student Aid Commission, per grant stipulations. It is the responsibility of the enrolled candidate to determine their own eligibility for the Golden State Grant Program, and to apply and maintain compliance. See FAQs here. |
