Teacher Induction Program Application

The Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) Educator Preparation Programs (EPP) Teacher Induction Program serves all preliminary multiple-subject, single-subject, and education specialist teachers in completing their professional clear teaching credential. Candidates must have a preliminary teaching credential in order to be eligible to apply for the Teacher Induction Program. Applications are reviewed and accepted on a rolling basis.

Application Process

1. Create an EPP Scholar account and complete an online application.
2. Application is reviewed by a program administrator.
3. Admission decision is communicated to candidate via EPP Scholar account and email.
4. Upon acceptance, candidate receives further instructions on how to register for Teacher Induction Program course, complete enrollment, and pay tuition.

Required Documents

• Proof of Valid California Preliminary General Education or Education Specialist Teaching Credential
• Verification of full-time employment in a public or private school as the Teacher-of-Record on school or district letterhead
• Early Completion Option Eligibility:
  • Verification of two or more years of verified experience as a teacher of record
  • Two letters of recommendation, including one from your current site administrator
  • Exceptional performance evaluations from previous two years
  • Current year formal evaluation by current site administrator

Please upload the required documents to your online application account on the application portal (EPP Scholar). Admission decisions will be communicated via email through your EPP Scholar account. Upon acceptance, you will receive instructions on how to register for the Teacher Induction Program course, complete enrollment, and pay tuition.

By proceeding as such, we will receive all your information and documents and your application will be complete. Otherwise, your application will show as being "In Progress" and we won't get your documents.
