Course Description

In this course, candidates will learn about the interconnection of PE and Health standards with a focus on students developing a healthy, productive quality of life. Students will demonstrate an understanding of the alignment of curriculum, instruction and assessment of both PE and Health standards. A focus on high risk behaviors (bullying, substance abuse, nutrition, etc.) will be addressed from both an instruction and recognition lens for candidates. Candidates will learn how to promote health-literate and health-informed students through a whole child approach that addresses physical health and mental health.
