Our PASC Program is an 11-month comprehensive training pathway, designed to prepare aspiring educational leaders to thrive in K-12 school administration. Whether you're aiming to become a school principal, assistant principal, or other administrative roles, this program equips you with the skills and knowledge to lead with vision, integrity, and equity.

Required Course Work

The PASC program consists of six core courses that provide a comprehensive foundation in school leadership and administration:

  • EDA 631: Visionary Leadership
  • EDA 632: Professional Learning
  • EDA 633: Instructional Leadership
  • EDA 634: Management of Learning Environment and Ethics
  • EDA 635: Facilitating Teacher Growth
  • EDA 636: Education Policy, Systems, and Community Leadership

Required Fieldwork/Internship

The California Administrator Performance Assessment (CalAPA) is a required component of the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential (PASC) program, designed to assess the readiness of aspiring school administrators to lead in K-12 educational settings.

Application Process

Eligibility Requirements

  • Valid California teaching credential or service credential
  • Minimum of four years of full-time certificated experience in a public or private school. This experience may be teaching, pupil personne​l work, librarianship, health services, clinical or rehabilitation services.
 

Applying for PASC

Please check the required documents and follow the instructions on the application page. Once you have the documents ready, please complete the online application. ​ ​​​​Admissions decisions will be communicated via email. Upon acceptance, you will receive instructions on how to register for courses, complete enrollment, ​and pay the $500 non-refundable tuition deposit.​​
